Business has been very slow recently and I had seriously considered putting Loulibelle yoga on the backburner whilst I went and worked for someone else. As much as I love the work I do with Loulibelle Yoga, and I love working for myself, my family and I still have to eat and put a roof over our heads. My husband and I really want to buy our own home but we both need to have a regular, decent wage coming in to do this. So how do I balance doing what I love with making money. I think my dilemma has come about because when I have no classes I start to doubt what I do. I lose momentum and I find it difficult to get motivated and to sell myself. I have known for a while that my business needed a major overhaul and I needed to recreate it into a more Louise friendly business. I know I want to teach children, but I also want to teach adults. I know I prefer to teach on a one to one basis preferably in someones home. And I know that I really really see the need for providing people with a comprehensive form of what they are learning and how they are progressing. So for the next few weeks, as well as looking for some temporary tide over work I am going to re jig and relaunch my business as the business I actually want it to be. I am not going to listen to those that tell me how they think it should be done I am going to follow my instincts and the business experience I have gained so far in the 7 years I have been working for myself and I am going to make it work. So watch this space...suggestions welcome, but prepared for me not to take you up on them :) |
